From the curator
Midterm elections serve as pivotal moments that shape the future of American politics and voter participation. As The Conversation’s 5-minute article by Robert Glover notes, election officials are actively working to bolster voter trust by increasing the visibility of mundane processes and recruiting citizen help. Simultaneously, administrative actions are impacting the electoral process. ProPublica’s 8-minute article by Lisa Song reports that a new Office of Management and Budget rule threatens to restrict federal grant funding for voter registration drives, which is part of a broader effort to limit voting access.
